For so many years I’ve never had close Malay friends that I can borak with.  My primary school days was good as I had a lot of Malay friends and also partly because I can’t speak Cantonese back then and only uses Bahasa most of the time. When secondary school came, the segregation came. My school was predominantly Chinese and the Malays are few. But I’m thankful also because this is the period where I pick up and brush up my Cantonese. How can being a KL-ian and don’t know Cantonese. How to cari makan.

And now, since I work in my new company, most of my collegues are Malay and in my department I’m the only Chinese.

The funny thing was what happened last week. On Friday as all of the Muslims will go for their prayer during lunch time, I ajak some of my Chinese collegues for makan at Klang. Bak Kut Teh lar – at Mun Teng’s bro in law’s mum’s shop in Taman Berkeley.

Funnily, one of my malay collegue wanted to follow last minute. He wanted to ’skip’ the prayers and follow us. Then we thought ok lar, just go to some mamak or McD, but he says its ok. He says he has eaten heavy breakfast earlier.  He insist on going..Haha…

He was with us when we were savouring the delightful Bak Kut Teh and he enjoyed the chinese tea. This is 1 Malaysia.

One day, David met an angel and he is offered a wish.

David said, “I want to be a millionaire”, and he got 1 million worth of gold.

However, when he went home, he found out that the same angel then given 5 millions worth of gold to his enemy, Frank. David was so upset on that.

Several weeks later, David met with the angel again. “Why you give Frank more than you give me, and he didn’t even have to ask for it?” he asked.

The angel replied, “yes, my dear.

Whatever I give to you, I will also give to Frank 5 times more than yours! Now you can make another wish, what would you like?”

You know what is David’s answer?

He said, “I want to be in 1 billion debt, so Frank will be 5 times worse than me. Hahaha…”

June comes

Everyday I try to find the answer. I try to find a way out. I try to change. Nothing prevails.

I was listening to some audio sermons today and one word that struck me from this author is  - Live our live to our convictions, and He will surely honour us.

I have not been living my life as it is. My life mission statement was just there hanging on the wall, just like any other corporation. Where the employees work hard everyday, toil for the company. But do they know their company’s mission statement? Some may, some may not. 

I know, but I’ve lost it.

June comes and I want to make a conenant.

Ryan Giggs, the most decorated player in Manchester United history, yesterday won the coveted English Player of the Year. Well, my brother it will be a sentimenal feeling for Giggs if he wins he award, but I still like what our very own ESPN football pundit says during last year’s build-up to the championship, it is the romantic side of football. The romance that comes with it. When Giggs which has been labelled slow by some of the faithful football watchers, that the English games has surpases his once dubbed deadly passed and wizardy skills -  came on as substitute during the game against Wigan and score the wonderful goal to give Man United the title last year.  However, my bet would be for Van Der Sar to win it this season after his record breaking clean sheet.  But, well, the romance of football wins it all in the end. Giggs, whom didnt feature in the weekend’s come back game against Tottenham, will surely be featured in Wednesday’s Champions League game against Arsenal, which would be his 800th!!!!! game for Man United… Go Giggs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
