Yes!!! Jesus is the reason for this season!
I was at carolling just now at a few of my church member’s houses. In the 4th house, which is Bro. Stevens house, the house master, yes , which is bro steven himself took out a cake. Another curious brother then ask him. ” Hey, what’s up with the cake. Who’s birthday lar…” ( anyway, happy birthday to Manfred!!! Dia punya birthday jatuh pada hari krismas.Cekapnyer ). Ok . Come back to the story, Bro Steven replied back and say… ” JESUS’ BIRTHDAY LAR!!!”
Yeah, sometimes in the busyness of this season, doing christmas shopping, practising for christmas play ( it seems a lot of churches this year are having their christmas play. I wonder why), planning for holiday, for christmas carolling, to cancel class, to take car from the port… sometimes we might just have lost the real reason why are we celebrating this season of greetings. Greetings from heaven above when our God gives us His one and only Son Jesus Christ to bring hope to human kind =)
We Are The Reason
As little children
We would dream of Christmas morn
Of all the gifts and toys
We knew we’d find
But we never realized
A baby born one blessed night
Gave us the greatest gift of our lives
We were the reason
That He gave His life
We were the reason
That He suffered and died
To a world that was lost
He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live
As the years went by
We learned more about gifts
The giving of ourselves
And what that means
On a dark and cloudy day
A man hung crying in the rain
All because of love, all because of love
I’ve finally found the reason for living
It’s in giving every part of my heart to Him
In all that I do every word that I say
I’ll be giving my all just for Him, for Him
He is my reason to live

I have several questions in my mind. These questions has actually pop up in my mind many many years ago. I just didn’t bother to go and find out.
1. Is the Bahasa Malaysia Bible allowed to be sold or purchase in Malaysia?
2. Is the word Allah allowed to be used in contex other than the Muslim contex?
I remember earlier this year the Indonesian Christian band ‘GMB‘ was supposed to play on the AYA Festival 07′. Last minute they canceled it only to find out GMB is performing elsewhere on the same day, only at a different venue, which is in a church in Subang. My inference it that GMB change their plan, or rather AYA changed the plan to avoid any provocation to the Malaysian Muslim community as GMB will be using the Bahasa Indonesia- a language that is quite similar to BM. Or maybe in their songs may contain the word Allah. And these words are not allowed to be used in public. The Putra Stadium is public , whereas the Church is not public.
Well, this is just my speculation la. What is the real reason I don’t really know. Go ask the organizers..
Anyway, this in the news lately…of course this is not in The Star…only the independent news platform reported this…..
Johari: Only Muslims can use ‘Allah’

The word ‘Allah’ can only be used in the context of Islam and not any other religion, said Deputy Internal Security Minister Johari Baharum.
Asked why a new condition will be imposed on Catholic weekly newspaper Herald when its annual publishing permit is next renewed, the deputy minister said this is to prevent confusion.
“Only Muslims can use ‘Allah’. It’s a Muslim word, you see. It’s from (the Arabic (language). We cannot let other religions use it because it will confuse people,” he said when contacted today.
“We cannot allow this use of ‘Allah’ in non-Muslim publications, nobody except Muslims. The word ‘Allah’ is published by the Catholics. It’s not right.”
The Herald, the organ of the Catholic Church in Malaysia, had been facing problems in renewing its publishing permit allegedly because of the word ‘Allah’ was used in referring to ‘God’ in its Bahasa Malaysia section.
The ministry has also allegedly told the publisher to remove the entire Bahasa Malaysia section or the permit will not be renewed when it expires in two weeks.
The Herald, which is published in four languages – English, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese and Tamil – has a circulation of 12,000.
Johari noted that other publications, such as Buddhist magazines, do not use the word ‘Allah’ when referring to God.
“The Herald can use other words but not ‘Allah’. That will confuse people,” he claimed.
Basis of decision
He said the decision was made based on a report submitted by the publications department of the ministry.
“Previously no one knew (about this). I made the decision based on a report submitted to me that was prepared by an officer,” he explained.
However, when asked why the Herald is being told to remove its Bahasa Malaysia section altogether – rather than demanding the weekly not to use the word ‘Allah’ – Johari was unable to comment.
“I’m not sure about this, I have to check again. As far as I know, they used the word ‘Allah’ and we cannot allow that,” he reiterated.
He further pointed out that the word ‘Allah’ cannot be printed on T-shirts or other garments and those who have done so have been warned by his ministry.
The use of ‘Allah’ outside of Islam has stirred controversy in Malaysia previously. Four years ago, the Bible in the Iban language was banned because it translated the word ‘God’ as Allah Taala, which resembles Islam’s name for God.
The ban was, however, lifted after protests from the Christian community.
This is something I’ve taken from the website answering christianity
Were there Jewish and Christian Arabs before Islam?
In the city of Madina in what we call today “Saudi Arabia”, there were three main religions: Idol worshiping, Judaism and Christianity. The name of the Jewish leader who also was the Highest Priest in Madina before Islam came was “Abdallah Bin-Saba”. His Arabic name was not “AbdElohim Bin-Saba” or “AbdElloi Bin-Saba” or “AbdGOD Bin-Saba”. The reason why his first name was “Abdallah” is because the Arab Jews in Madina used the word “Allah” for GOD in their Holy Scriptures. The word “Allah” did indeed exist in the Arabic Talmud and the other Jewish Holy Scriptures.
Also, the Christians’ Arabic Bible at that time used the word “Allah” for GOD. Even today’s Christians’ Arabic Bibles use the word “Allah” for GOD. Today in the Middle East, Christians sometimes name their kids “Abdallah”. Also there are Christian families who’s last names is “Abdallah”.
In today’s Arabic Bible, the word “Allah” is used for both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Kaka
It is good to hear that there is actually someone who plays in the highest level of football has his faith in God, in Jesus Christ. As the Lord’s birth is near, the award that Kaka won would probably the perfect gift for him in declaring His glory to the world in the most popular sports in the world.

Kaka with the world player trophy
‘When I was young I dreamed of playing for Sao Paulo and playing just one game for the national team. That was it…but the Bible says God gives us more than we ask for and that is what has happened in my life’, quoted Kaka.
It is no surprise that in an interview Kaka hope to become an evangelical pastor, spreading the good news to the people.
It is such a shame to know that in the footballing world, especially in England, football beside related to glamour, money and fame, it is almost synonymous to sex, violence, partying, booze and so on.

The recent case of a young Manchester United lad, Johnny Evans was arrested by the authorities for an alledeged rape during a visit to a party in Manchester. The party was supposingly chief headed by the Man United defender , Rio Ferdinand. Rio himself has alreadt established himself as a party king among english footballers and has been caught severally for either alledge fighting in clubs or sexual assault.
Kaka. The all deserving FIFA player of the year. Belongs to Jesus. But what a shame, doensn’t belongs to Manchester United.
Probably it is the devil symbol in the Man U emblem that keeps Kaka away from Man U. And the time and time again that AC Milan has pounce Man United in the Champions League.
The Manchester United crest has been altered on a few occasions, but the basic form remains similar. The badge is derived from the crest of the city of Manchester. The devil on the club badge stems from the club’s nickname “The Red Devils”, which was adopted in the early 1960s after Matt Busby heard it in reference to the red-shirted Salford Rugby league side. By the end of the 1960s, the devil had started to be included on club programmes and scarves, before it was finally incorporated into the club badge in 1970, holding its unmistakable trident. In 1998, the badge was once again redesigned, this time removing the words “Football Club”.]This move was met with opposition from some supporters, who viewed it as a move away from the club’s footballing roots and more into the business side of the game.

If I am the Manchester United owner, I will ask for a reform and change in the badge…
Why the devil?
Why not some angel thingy.
The Red Angel…oh no… doensn’t sounds right…
The white angel… oh no… this would have strip off Man U identity…
Who cares about the Red Devil…
There is one and only UNITED!!!!!
