So long mourinho. You have made the EPL so colourful for the last 3 seasons. Sorry to see you leave. And for Chelsea fans, don’t be disheartened. I believe the news of sacking shocked many of the players and would probably play all out in this weekend’s Super Sunday against Manchester United.
Anyway, great header by C. Ronaldo against Sporting Lisbon!!
Yup. Malaysia was birth 44 years ago when Sabah and Sarawak ( and Singapore ) joined to become the Federation of Malaysia. September 16, 1963 to be exact.
But anyway, I find it absurb at times looking at our National Flag. I read in the news a while ago, one of this minister told to he reporters of the responsibilties for us Malaysian to raise our flags to celebrate our 50th year of Independence. But he says, there is an exception, escpecially to those in the Middle East countries where our flags so much of the US flag. We might court trouble as our flag so much resembles the US flag. A mere coincidence?
I don’t think so.

There was supposingly this Malayan Flag competition in 1947 and this guy named mohamed Hamzah won the competition from 3 shortlisted flags design. I’m not suprise the one who chose the flag design as winner is Tunku Abdul Rahman himself.
I suppose he admired the US so much that even our Tugu Negara is actually a creative replica of the Iwo Jima Monument in Washington DC.

The Iwo Jima Monument
Tunku was on a trip to the US and was so fascinated with the Iwo Jima monument that he wanted one for Malaysia. He asked the original sculptor. Felix de Weldon, to do one for us.haha.
Many don’t know that the original national monument was not the one in the form of human figures but was a tall concrete column that was situated in the middle of the roundabout. The British administration set up the first monument, a 10m flat grass-covered ground to commemorate the wars and honour the fallen heroes from World War 1, World war 2 and the Malayan emergency. It was moved to the present site at the National Monument, when a flyover was constructed in 1964 connecting Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin and the parliament roundabout. Therefore the original name for Jalan Tugu, where the Tugu Negara is currently situated, was Cenotaph Road. On the monument, it is written “To Our Glorious Dead with dates of the First World War (1914-1918), Second World War (1939-1945) and the Emergency (1948-1960).
Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test, and don’t ask why
It’s not a question, but a lesson learned in timeIt’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

Truly this semester has been an unpredictable journey of ups and downs. Everything that has been planned goes out of planned. Committments turns out to be to hard to take. Self comfort always has a price to pay.
Anyway, thruout this semester I have been attending this Bible Study class which touches on the topic of ‘Sermon on the Mount’. It has blessed me a lot and challenge my mind, and also a good refreshing reminder for me as a Christian. But of course the unpredictable comes. On the first meeting my mood takes over me and in fact I almost made the decision not to go. But by encouragement, I went and there’s no turning back.
Not until yesterday when my lecturer announces that her classes beggining from this week will be changed to Tuesday. I was so disapointed as it classhes with the bible class. Of course, there was this thought of skipping class next week and the week after because the lecturer’s lecture is boring anyway. But my conciounse doesn’t feels right.
I guess that’s the end of my campus bible study this semester.
..anyway, if that’s the case, my tuesday will be crazily busy.
8-10 tax lecture
10.30-11.45 English class
2-3 Gender studies tutorial
3-4 Public Sector Accounting tutorial
4-6 Tax tutorial
8-10 Audit lecture
Good day =)
aha…convocation week is here again. this is the only time in UM where the atmosphere is so ‘meriah’ and so many parking spaces are taken up for all the booths. But nonetheless, at least they open up the field for parking.
Anyway, this is the fourth time I’ll be celebrating convo with my dear UM frens. Of course, during first year I did not really know anyone who is graduating, but particularly this year, a lot of my peers will don in their so-called monkey suit and goes around UM taking pictures.Haha..Next year my turn..But for time being, still need study for my test and another semester to go. Time flies.
will be at dtc…
